Veteran Bayern Munich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn will miss Germany's upcoming friendly match against Italy that will take place in Florenz on March first through injury. "It's unfortunate that Oliver will miss our match against Italy, obviously the injury is much more serious than we expected,” Germany boss Juergen Klinsmann told the official Deutsch Football Federation website. “Jens Lehmann will stand in for Oliver, who picked up his injury in our Bundesliga match against Hanover and was forced to miss our UEFA Champions League match against AC Milan,” he added. Klinsmann also decided to add VfB Stuttgart shot-stopper Timo Hildebrand to the German squad. Germany will play a series of friendly matches in preparation for their 2006 World Cup campaign, and will start by a match against Italy before taking on the United States of America on March 22nd in Dortmund.
