Egypt's captain Hossam Hassan will miss South Africa friendly after sustaining a knee injury, national team doctor Ahmed Maged said on Thursday. "Hassan suffers a minor knee injury and he will not take part against South Africa but he will be ready before the African Cup of Nations kicks-off," Maged told FilGoal.com. The veteran striker damaged his knee ligaments earlier this week after colliding with Zamalek winger Tarek Al-Sayed during traning. Egypt will face South Africa on Saturday in their last friendly before the African competition that begins on January 20th. Strasbourg midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou is still in doubt for South Africa's match despite showing some signs of improvement in training. "Abd-Rabou will decide himself whether he can play against South Africa or not according to his condition," Maged said. Egypt play in Group A alongside Libya, Morocco and World Cup side Ivory Coast.
