Mohamed Elneny is set to miss Basel's Champions League opener against Chelsea due to a shoulder injury. The 21-year-old suffered an injury while training with Egypt ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Guinea, which forced him to sit out the group game. Elneny said on his personal Twitter account that he will be out for seven-to-ten days. Basel take on Chelsea, who eliminated the Swiss champions from the Europa League semis before winning the title last season, on September 18. Elneny will also miss a Swiss Cup game at the weekend.
