Basel secured an edgy 1-0 victory over Sion to qualify for the Swiss Cup final for the second year in a row. The cup holders needed a 73rd minute goal from Valentin Stocker to win the game and go through. Mohamed Al-Nenni and Mohamed Salah started for Basel as the latter was substituted in injury time after being booked during the match. Murat Yakin's side will face Grasshopper for a second straight title after the record champions edged out Zurich 2-1 after extra time. Basel are on course for a historic treble as they lead the Swiss league table and compete in the semi-final of the UEFA Europa League as well.
