Hull City have begun negotiations with Sunderland over the permanent transfer of Egypt full-back Ahmed Elmohamady. After playing a key role helping the Tigers achieve promotion to the Premier League in his season-long loan, Elmohamady is poised to return to the KC Stadium permanently. "We're in the process of negotiating a deal," City's managing director Nick Thompson said. "We know where we stand with Sunderland on the price and now it's a case of agreeing a deal with the player and his agent. "When it comes to a contract, Premier League expectations from players sometimes will not match up with our expectations. It's a case of talking and coming to a point where you can agree a reasonable position." Geddo and Fathi Meanwhile, Hull have not ruled re-signing Egypt striker Geddo, who spent six months in Yorkshire before suffering a serious foot injury that will keep out until August. On the other hand, manager Steve Bruce is still undecided about Fathi. "Geddo had foot surgery on his troublesome bone so in his case you'd wait to see how he performed in his rehabilitation before you made any decisions," Thompson added. "I know Steve Bruce also liked Fathi and thought he was a great addition, but there's not been a definitive yes or no at this stage." Despite their desire for a return to England, Ahli insisted that Geddo and Fathi are not for sale this summer.
