Ahli have decided to end interest in Cameroonian midfielder Tamen Medrano as the search for a ‘super player' continues. Medrano, who was released by Sunshine Stars recently, has been on trial with Ahli for nearly a week now and played in Monday's friendly with lower-division Bahtim. “He is a player with decent technical abilities but still doesn't meet Ahli's requirements," Ahli boss Hossam Al-Badri was quoted as saying by the club's website. “Ahli are looking for a super player that would fit our needs and the ambitions of our fans." Ahli have been in continuous search for new players after losing captain Hossam Ghaly to injury last December, while seeing Mohamed Abou-Treika, Ahmed Fathi and Geddo move out on loan. Meteb on target Meanwhile, Ahli eased to a 4-1 victory over Bahtim, with Emad Meteb scoring the equalizer after the visitors had taken an early lead. Ahmed Abdul-Zaher, Ahmed Shokri and youngster Omar Gamal scored for the Reds.
