Ahli football director Sayed Abdul-Hafiz slammed English reports indicating that the Reds requested a transfer fee of £3million to sell Geddo to Hull City. English Daily Mirror had claimed a day ago that Ahli set the price tag on the Egypt striker's head in order to have his loan switch turned into a permanent deal at the KC Stadium. Ahli, however, voiced their dismay with the news, stressing that Hull have yet to make a bid for the in-form striker. "I'm surprised with such reports. It seems that English media is suffering from the same problems of the Egyptian press," former Ahli midfielder Abdul-Hafiz told FilGoal.com. "Such reports are baseless and improbable because Ahli would never set a selling price to Hull unless they had inquired in the first place. "If Hull want to acquire Geddo on a permanent basis, they would basically contact Ahli first and then we shall set our asking price. "Raising this issue now does not help us, nor helps Geddo." Geddo, on a six-month loan, have taken the Championship by storm having hit five goals in his first overseas spell so far. The 28-year-old had revealed few days ago that he is hoping to carry on playing in England after his loan spell ends this summer.
