Ahli will be sending a scout to watch the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Algeria, according to Marketing Director Magdi Tolba. As they intend to bolster their ranks with a non-Egyptian striker, the Reds will be exploring the Dark Continent in search for a youngster to sign in the summer. "We want to sign a young forward through the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations," former Egypt and Ahli midfielder Tolba told FilGoal.com. "That's why we will be sending a scout to watch the competition in Algeria. Egypt U-20s, managed by former Ahli star Rabie Yassin, take part in the competition which is due to kick off on March 16, vying against hosts Algeria, Ghana and Benin in Group A. The semi-finalists of the tournament qualify for the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which takes place in Turkey in June.
