Nine people were killed and eight others injured when their car flipped over in Minya, south of Cairo, police said on Sunday. The crash was blamed on the bursting of a rear tyre of the car. The deaths included two children aged three and four years. Road mishaps in Egypt are among the world's highest due to reckless driving and poor roads. In August 2008, Egypt enforced a new traffic code in a bid to curb road accidents.
