Hossam Ghali was set to leave Saudi Nassr at the end of the season after he inexplicably walked away ahead of a cup game last week, chairman Faisal bin Torki said Monday night. Egypt's midfielder left Riyadh before the Saudi King Cup of Champions third-place playoff game with Shabab, which Nassr won 3-1. Following reports suggesting that new manager Walter Zenga is not willing to keep Ghali next season, Bin Torki fortified the implications. "I am astonished with Ghali's behaviour. He left without the management's permission and hasn't told anyone about his exit," the Nassr patron said at a press conference. "His behaviour is unacceptable and I don't think he will stay with the team. "We totally backed him in his recent doping problem and then he responded by walking away!" Ghali has been recently cleared of taking performance-enhancing drugs in an infamous doping saga which saw him test negative on a second attempt. Ghali's contract with Nassr is due to expire in 2012.
