The Egyptians exercised their rights in a good way and went to the ballot boxes to vote in the referendum on the constitution in high numbers and waited in queues for long hours, both advocates and opponents of the constitution. The great day passed without any problems, a reflection of the civilised Egyptians who insisted on their democratic rights, other than the incident of arson, when the premises of Al-Wafd political party and newspaper were set on fire, which crime was committed by a Salafi group. Otherwise the day of election passed safely, although voters were complaining throughout the day variously about the electoral committee, the long queues and crowding at the election stations. The results of the first stage of the referendum were received with many appeals. The second stage of the referendum will be held next Saturday to cover all the other governorates where voting was not held in the first stage. We do not need any more tension or disturbances between the voters again, but should resolve this situation and maintain national reconciliation to guarantee real stability in this nation.
