President Mohamed Morsi is going to launch a new stage in the Turkish-Egyptian relations based on many years of co-operation. These days, Egypt and Turkey work together to stop the bloodshed in Syria and help remove the Assad regime. They insist that a solution needs to be found without foreign military intervention. The wind of the Arab Spring has spread all over the Arab world, created stability and balanced relations, because they are based on democracy and reflect the wishes of the Turkish and Egyptian people. Turkey and Egypt are part of the Quartet (Egypt, Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia) that is involved in solving the Syrian crisis – a big chance to introduce mechanisms that will bring stability to the region. If Egypt and Turkey can solve the Syrian crisis, it will open new avenues to tackle other complex issues. The second meeting of the Turkish-Egyptian committee will be held in Cairo, headed by Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan. The commercial exchange between Egypt and Turkey has reached $3,8 billion, with investments and co-operation in the sectors of transport, power and technology, to the benefit of the Egyptian and Turkish people.
