Although the EgyptAir cabin crew has the right to strike in connection with their demands and better working conditions, this is not the only way to go about it. There are better and less damaging options. Nobody can deny that strikes should be strictly regulated. There must be no suspension of State facilities that result in enormous financial losses, as was the case with the strike of the flight attendants. This strike conveyed a negative image to the world and damaged Egypt's reputation at a time when the country is trying to get back on its feet, restore tourism and save the ailing economy. We call on all employees in various sectors and companies such as EgyptAir to keep the interests of the nation in mind and avoid strikes that are counterproductive and not to the benefit of the Egyptian people. On the other hand, the employees' legal demands must be addressed without further delay. [email protected] [email protected]
