THE Government will build more schools and educational facilities nationwide to ensure every child has access to good quality education, Egypt's First Lady Mrs Suzanne Mubarak said in Luxor Governorate on Wednesday. Addressing a special function to celebrate the opening of two upgraded preparatory and secondary level schools for girls, Mrs Mubarak said that the Government had launched a comprehensive plan for developing basic schooling with a focus on facility building and teachers' re-training. Mrs Mubarak said that she launched the 100-school initiative in Luxor that would focus on the quality of education and making sure that students are equipped with what they need for the labour market needs now to meet economic development challenges. "One of the big challenges facing the country is that every child be educated," Mrs Mubarak told the ceremony. She added that upgrading education was one of her top priorities to promote human development and create an educated generation that contributes to the development of Egypt.
