CAIRO – Egypt's Radio is going to present, in the holy fasting month of Ramadan, programmes that cope with events and the spirit of the January 25 revolution, the head of the 'Public Programme Network' told the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) on Monday. According to Magdi Solaiman , the head of the network, interesting topics and programmes will be presented all through the lunar month, which has started on Monday coinciding with August lst. The change in Egypt in the post revolution period has dictated a parallel shift in the nature of TV and radio programmes in the fasting month which were usually directed to mere entertainment. Solaiman explained said that 'Password' is a program that will host some of the presidential hopefuls to discuss Egyptian issues and put forth solutions for present-day problems. Solaiman added that the radio will interview people on the streets to highlight their opinions of and reactions to current hot events. 'Radio Book' will preview what has been published on 'Facebook' regarding the Egyptian revolt. There are other prgrammes as the 'Shadow Government' and 'An Appointment with the President' that will host many activists such as political analyst Amr Hamzawi, novelist Alaa el-Aswani and writer Sakina Fouad.
