CAIRO, Oct 2, 2018 (MENA) - Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar on Tuesday inspected the facilities of King Salman University in South Sinai, currently under construction. According to a ministry statement Abdel Ghaffar asserted that the construction of the university's facilities will be carried out on schedule and in accordance with the best standards, and that the political leadership is keen on completing the project as soon as possible. The minister also noted that the coming phase would witness an expansion in establishing non-governmental universities to reach as many as 32 by 2030 with the aim of providing excellent education to students and at the same time reducing the number of students in government universities. In early July, the Egyptian Armed Forces Engineering Authority and Egypt SIAC Holding Construction announced that they have been officially tasked with executing King Salman University in El Tor city in South Sinai governorate. The construction is set to end within 18 months.
