CAIRO, Sept 28, 2018 (MENA) - Egyptian Tourism Minister Rania Al Mashat discussed on Friday with Indonesian Ambassador in Cairo Helmy Fawzy aspects of tourism cooperation within the coming period. Mashat reviewed the features of the new promotional campaign, set to be launched soon, the Tourism Ministry said in a statement on Friday. The ministry considers modernizing its promotional tools to cope up with the quick changes, she noted, adding that the ministry will form an Egyptian-international alliance for tourism promotion in Egypt. During the meeting, both sides agreed that the Indonesian side will draw up a plan of action, in which the Indonesian tourism companies determine their needs from the Egyptian side. The action plan is set to be reviewed before the minister in mid- November. They also agreed that some of the ministry's officials will travel to Jakarta to mull means of tourism promotion of Egypt inside the Indonesian market. Mashat pointed to the ability to benefit from the successful Indonesian experience in enhancing tourism again after the Indian Ocean tsunami of 2004. A series of meetings will be held with foreign ambassadors to tackle partnership ties to promote tourism in Egypt abroad. In the meantime, Fawzy expressed his country's interest in fostering cooperation with Egypt and increasing the number of tourists coming to the country.
