Egypt's Health min: Prosecution to reveal cause of Sharqiya hospital deaths

CAIRO, Sept 18, 2018 (MENA) - Egyptian Minister of Health Hala Zayed said Tuesday her ministry formed a technical committee to tackle the death of three patients at a kidney dialysis unit in Dyarb Negm city hospital in Sharqiya governorate.
In a meeting held by the House of Representatives health committee on Tuesday, the minister said the committee will refer a report to the public prosecution being the only party entitled to reveal the cause behind the death of the patients.
Minister Zayed said her ministry sent panels to Dyarb Negm hospital to probe the cause of the deaths and review the measures taken by the company in charge of maintaining the kidney dialysis unit.
The minister said the committees took water and blood samples to analyze them with the aim of preparing initial reports.Twelve people suffered health problems in the same unit.
