CAIRO, Sept 17, 2018 - The activities of Bright Star 2018 military drills continued at Mohamed Naguib military base and at the combat training ranges of the Northern Military Zone, with the participation of forces from Egypt, USA, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, France, UK, Greece and Italy, the Armed Forces spokesman said in a statement published on his official Facebook page on Monday. Sixteen other countries are joining the drills in the capacity of observer, he added. The participating forces continued to carry out a project of the joint land-air command centres. The project included several theoretical and practical lectures, battle preparation and organisation, command and control activities and exchange of expertise and information. The project also involved training on decision-making exercise in record time and invoking different scenarios in the face of sudden and emergency situations during the actual management of operations on the ground, he said.
