CAIRO, Sept 17, 2018 (MENA) - The Trade and Industry Ministry is paying particular attention to the craft industry as part of its plan to support industries that promote the national identity. Trade and Industry Minister Amr Nassar said his Ministry will be offering technical support needed to upgrade skills of craftsmen, noting this should help sustain those crafts. A working team should be formed to implement the plan, Nassar said during his meeting with head of the chamber of craft industries Mossad Omran and head of the export council of craft industries Hisham el Gazzar. The plan is also meant to upgrade the quality of Egyptian crafts and increase exports, Nassar said. This, he added, should help Egyptian craftsmen compete on international markets. Part of the plan has to do with marketing of the craft industries at the local and foreign markets, Nassar noted.
