CAIRO, July 3, 2018 (MENA) - A partnership agreement has been inked between Arabia Holding Company and Proton Partners International LTD to open the biggest international center for diagnosis and treatment of tumors using Proton technologies in the hospital of Sun Capital compound. Egyptian Minister of Higher Education Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and Health Minister Hala Zayed witnessed the signing ceremony. Proton Partners International LTD is a pioneering company in the field of hospital services in Britain. The center, which is located in 6th of October city, will diagnose and treat tumors by the use of Proton technologies. It aims at improving the level of health services presented to the Egyptians and transferring advanced international medical expertise to Egypt. In a statement of the higher education ministry on Tuesday, Abdel Ghaffar asserted his keenness on improving all activities in the fields of education and health. The center will be the first of its kind to be established in Egypt and Africa, he said, adding that it will contribute to decreasing treatment costs and providing quality health services to citizens. Hala Zayed who was also present at the ceremony, said that the Egypt welcomes partnerships in the field of health, promising that the Egyptians will reap the fruit of such kind of cooperation with international partners. Using Proton technology for the first time in Egypt and Africa will put Egypt on the map of medical tourism, Zayed said. Board Chairman of Arabia Holding Company Tareq Shoukry said that this agreement is important and represents a quantum leap in the health sector in Egypt. He said the center will be built on an area of 20,000 square meters at investments amounting to 50 million dollars.
