RAMALLAH, June 9, 2018 (MENA) - The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said the Israeli leaders are insisting on reporting and spreading fake news to the global public opinion to hide their continuous acts of terrorism and crimes against the Palestinian people. The Israeli leaders were bragging Friday about their orders to snipers along Gaza borders to kill more than 150 Palestinians and injure more than 4,000 others during the Great Return March protests, the Palestinian ministry said in a statement on Saturday. The increase in the number of the Palestinian fatalities was due to the direct orders given to these snipers to target the innocent unarmed people, the ministry said, noting the move by the Palestinian leadership to have the International Criminal Court launch a probe into the Israeli atrocities. The Israeli snipers' reluctance to shoot to kill more Palestinians came because they are fearful of the backlash from the world community and mounting calls for an international inquiry into the killings, added the statement. The Palestinian ministry strongly decried the Israeli aggression against the peaceful protests and the flagrant violations committed by Israel against international law. It said that the Israeli army's actions have proved how far it is suffering from moral decay and how much its troops are lacking when it comes to professionalism and humanity, read the statement.
