CAIRO, May 15, 2018 (MENA) - The House of Deputies (parliament) under Speaker Ali Abdel Aal approved presidential decree No. 66 for the Year 2018 pertaining to a trade agreement between Egypt and Gabon. The agreement aims at consolidating trade relations between the two countries as well as promoting trade exchange within the framework of the two countries' commitment to the World Trade Organisation rules, according to a report outlined by the economic affairs committee. The agreement also stipulates providing more facilities to setting up trade centres and fairs in both countries along with some exemptions in taxes and customs duties on certain goods. The parliament committee highlighted the need for resolving the problem of lack of land transport means between Egypt and Africa, especially in the West Africa region.
