Libreville - Egyptian President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi signed a number of agreements with Gabon's President Ali Bongo on Wednesday to foster mutual economic and trade relations. Sisi announced in a press conference held in the presidential palace in Libreville on Wednesday that fostering relations between the two countries is of mutual importance and concern. It's important for Egypt and Gabon to coordinate with each other concerning the affairs of the African Union and the United Nations for the benefit of Africa, Sisi added. Minister of Trade Tarek Kabil signed an agreement during the visit with his counterpart in Gabon to form a mutual trade committee within this year, with the aim of fostering commercial relations and facilitating trade between the two countries. The agreement includes encouraging and boosting two-way trade, strengthing cooperation between the chambers of commerce and industry and the organizations responsible for growing investment, facilitating the passage of products and goods, and the possibility of participation in the trade centers and fairs. President Sisi will visit Chad on Thursday, as the fourth and final destination of his four-day tour in Africa, which also included Tanzania, Rwanda and Gabon.
