ISMAILIA, Egypt, April 21, 2018 (MENA) – Egypt's Prime Minister Sherif Ismail held a meeting on Saturday with the head of Ismailia's health directorate and the director of Ismailia public hospital on the sidelines of his current visit to the coastal city. Accompanied by Health Minister Ahmed Emad el Din and Local Development Minister Abu Bakr el Gendy, the premier was posted on all the needs required to develop Ismailia public hospital, the cabinet's media office said in a statement. Ismail reiterated the importance of swiftly developing the hospital to serve the governorate residents. On that score, he urged organizing training programs for doctors and nurses in order to hone their skills. The prime minister toured Ismailia public hospital and inspected development works carried out there at a total cost of EGP 362 million. The premier and the two ministers are also set to visit Abu Khalifa hospital that is located on the Ismailia-Port Said highway. Ismail continued his tour in Ismailia governorate Saturday by inspecting construction works in the Sayadeen Lake axis. The underway projects aim at upgrading main roads and finding solutions to the problem of traffic congestion in the coastal governorate. During his tour, the premier listened to a brief explanation on the first phase of a project, which includes constructing a 4.2-kilometer-long bridge over Port Said Canal and building el Giesh road in western el Temsah Lake. The second phase of the venture includes building a 3.2-kilometer-long road besides some markets and a mall. The total cost of the projects being carried out in Ismailia governorate in various fields over four years reaches EGP 55 billion.
