CAIRO, April 10, 2018 (MENA) - Manpower Minister Mohamed Saafan and Saudi Minister of Labour and Social Development Ali bin Nasser al Ghafis on Tuesday reviewed a number of labour issues, preparations for the hajj season and e-link between the two ministries. On the fringe of the 45th Arab Labour Conference in Cairo, the two sides discussed the Saudi market's needs of labourers. Saafan noted that the e-link between the two ministries will facilitate securing jobs for Egyptians in Saudi Arabia according to the Saudi market needs. The Saudi minister underlined keenness on protecting the rights of Egyptians working in the kingdom. Meanwhile, Saafan conferred on Tuesday with Libyan Minister of Labour al Mahdi al Amin on his country's need of Egyptian labour in the coming stage especially that the situation has settled in Libya to some extent. This came during a meeting of both ministers on the sidelines of the 45th session of the Arab Labour Conference held here in the presence of 17 labour ministers and business owners from the member states of the Arab Labour Organisation. Libya is in dire need of the skilled Egyptian labour to help in the reconstruction of the country especially in Sirte and Benghazi that were totally destroyed, Amin said. Amin added that Libya is ready to receive Egyptian workers in the fully safe and stable areas. Libya is working on the return of women to the labour market, he said adding that training will be provided for the disabled and the Libyan labour to be involved in the work market, he said. Saafan expressed Egypt's full readiness to supply Libya with all the Egyptian labour its needs to work in the safe and stable zones. Both ministers stressed the importance of activating the electronic linkage system between both ministries,as well as activating labour agreements between the two countries.
