CAIRO, April 3, 2018 - The Central Bank of Egypt announced on Tuesday that all banks would be closed on April 8 and 9 marking Easter and Shamm El-Nessim holidays. Meanwhile, the local stock exchange announced yesterday that it will be off for the same two days. Banks as well as the stock exchange will reopen on April 10. Shamm El-Nessim is a national holiday marking the beginning of spring. It always falls on Monday, the day after the Easter.
