LUXOR, April 2, 2018 - Luxor Governor Mohamed Badr announced on Monday the governorate's participation in the celebrations of the 2018 World Autism Awareness Day under the theme "Empowering Women and Girls with Autism." In his statement, Governor Badr said that many archaeological buildings will go blue to enhance public awareness of autism especially that 2018 is the year of people with disabilities in Egypt. He, meanwhile, stressed the importance of improving the lives and the ways of treating children and adults with autism. The United Nations selected April 2 to mark the Autism Awareness Day with the key aim of boosting awareness of this disease. Countries worldwide started to mark this day since 2008.
