Minister Arafat inspects train stations

CAIRO, March 9, 2018 -- Minister of Transport Hesham Arafat went on an inspection tour of several railway and underground stations in Greater Cairo Friday to follow overground and Metro operations.
During his tour, Arafat met with passengers and workers reminding the latter to do their tasks conscientiously.
The minister also ordered periodic maintenance of the entire rail network.
Locomotives and rolling-stock should not be moved from workshops unless they have been fully checked, Arafat said.
Train station managers must make daily inspections of their stations to avoid serious failures, he added.
