The security troops killed ten terrorists in an exchange of fire and arrested 245 suspects and wanted criminals as part of the Sinai 2018 comprehensive operation in North Sinai, the army said in its 14th communiqué this morning. The security troops, comprising army and police personnel, raided six terrorist hotbeds in El Arish and destroyed two-booby-trapped vehicles. A total of 145 refuges as well as arms and ammunition warehouses were demolished in the raids. The troops found and destroyed an underground fuel tank, in addition to 12 trucks and 28 unlicensed motorbikes. The security forces also demolished 21 farms of bhang and seized a total of five tonnes of drugs. Two officers and two soldiers were killed in the operation. An officer and three soldiers were injured.
