At least six militants of Wilayat Sinai terrorist group were killed and 21 others arrested Sunday during several raids held by Egyptian army against terrorist groups in Sheikh Zuweid city, North Sinai, security sources said. The sources added that the detained militants were accused of killing army soldiers and booby-trapping roads in Sinai. Since September 2013, the Egyptian army has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against the Sinai-based Wilayat Sinai terrorist group, formerly known as Ansar Bayt Al Maqdis, after it had claimed responsibility for several attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
