Supply Ministry, State Council sign protocol to enable digital access to commercial registry data
Published in Daily News Egypt on 23 - 06 - 2025

Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali El-Sayed Farouk and State Council President Ahmed Aboud witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Internal Trade Development Authority (ITDA)—affiliated with the Supply Ministry—and the State Council, aimed at enabling judicial access to commercial registry inquiry services.
The protocol is part of the government's broader strategy to advance digital transformation and improve the efficiency and responsiveness of public services. It also reflects the growing coordination between key state institutions.
The agreement was signed by Hossam El-Garhy, Assistant Minister of Supply for Oversight Affairs and Supervisor of ITDA, and Mahmoud Aboul-Dahab, Vice President and Secretary-General of the State Council.
Under the protocol, the State Council will be granted direct access to the commercial registry database via the government's central data exchange platform. The system operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and enables real-time, secure, and accurate data sharing between government entities.
The digital link allows judicial authorities to perform various inquiries—such as identifying businesses and companies associated with a given national ID number, and retrieving commercial registry information using parameters including the unified number, tax ID, registration number, registry office, or registration category.
Commenting on the agreement, Minister Farouk said the protocol exemplifies institutional integration and aligns with the state's direction to support judicial bodies in fulfilling their duties with greater speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
He added that the Ministry of Supply remains committed to supporting Egypt's digital transformation agenda by expanding the deployment of smart services that improve the business environment and better serve citizens.
