The Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported that Israeli forces carried out three significant massacres against civilians in the Gaza Strip within the past 24 hours. These attacks resulted in 39 deaths and 93 injuries, bringing the total number of fatalities since the beginning of the conflict to 39,363 and the number of injured to 90,923.
On Monday, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) stated that evacuation orders from the Israeli military have become a daily ordeal for Gaza's residents. According to UNRWA, Palestinians are "forced to pack what they can and then flee, often with very little time to do so."
The Palestinian Ministry of Education reported that since the escalation of violence on October 7, the conflict has claimed the lives of 10,000 students and 400 teachers in the Gaza Strip.
Negotiations concerning the conflict are ongoing. On Sunday, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that Mossad chief David Barnea had returned from Rome after discussions with mediators about a "clarification document" regarding the Gaza negotiations. Netanyahu's office announced that talks about an exchange deals are expected to resume in the coming days.
On Saturday evening, Israel submitted an updated proposal for Gaza ceasefire negotiations and a prisoner exchange deal with Hamas to the United States, according to the American website Axios.
In response, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) accused Prime Minister Netanyahu of reverting to "procrastination, delay, and evasion" tactics regarding the exchange deal. Hamas stated that Netanyahu's conditions have regressed from the terms previously conveyed by mediators, which were part of US President Joe Biden's initiative and a UN Security Council resolution.
On the ground, the Al-Quds Brigades reported that its fighters had targeted a Merkava tank with a "tandem" missile and engaged with Israeli infantry forces near the Nile School in the Tal al-Hawa neighbourhood, southwest of Gaza City.
