Al-Sisi emphasises Sudanese national interest in crisis resolution

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met with a Sudanese delegation on Sunday during the Sudanese political and civil forces conference hosted by Egypt under the slogan "Together to Stop the War."
The meeting included Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdel Aty, Head of General Intelligence Service Abbas Kamel, and representatives from regional and international parties, including Chad's Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as delegates from the UAE, Qatar, South Sudan, Germany, the African Union, the Arab League, and the United Nations. Ambassadors from France, the United Kingdom, Norway, the European Union, and Saudi Arabia were also present in Cairo.
President Al-Sisi emphasized Egypt's commitment to bridging gaps among Sudanese parties, ending the conflict, restoring security and stability, and safeguarding Sudanese capabilities. He called for a comprehensive political solution that aligns with Sudanese aspirations and addresses the multidimensional crisis, which has significant political, social, and humanitarian implications.
Egypt continues to provide humanitarian aid to Sudan, reflecting the strong Egyptian-Sudanese relations. Additionally, Egypt hosts millions of Sudanese citizens. Al-Sisi stressed that any credible political process must respect Sudan's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and state institutions, with the slogan "Sudan First" guiding sincere national efforts.
The Sudanese political and civil forces expressed deep appreciation for Egypt's support during this crisis, highlighting the historical ties between the two nations.
