Al-Sisi follows up on measures to move government to New Capital
Egyptian President was briefed on developments of 'Great Transfiguration over the Land of Peace' project in Sinai

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi discussed Wednesday the executive position of several national projects nationwide, especially in the New Administrative Capital and other new cities.
In a meeting on Wednesday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, and Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, President Al-Sisi ordered the government to start the actual movement of the government to the New Administrative Capital by December.
Al-Sisi was also briefed on the latest developments of the "Great Transfiguration over the Land of Peace" project in the vicinity of the mountains of Moses and St. Catherine in Sinai.
The meeting witnessed a review of the position of other projects within the New Administrative Capital, especially the facilities in the government district, as well as various residential neighbourhoods, and the financial and business district, as well as the coordination of fields and axes, and work on the Green River area.
During the meeting, the Minister of Housing presented the progress of work in the new city of El-Alamein, and its projects such as the towers, the heritage city, the Latin Quarter, the entertainment district, roads, and the International University of El Alamein for Science and Technology.
He also briefed the president on the executive position of the facilities and services in the new Mansoura, including the university, basic education schools and residential neighborhoods, and the corniche.
Moreover, the president also followed up on the ongoing projects to develop the historic Cairo area, which aims to restore the civilised face of Cairo, and make it a tourist, recreational and cultural attraction, including the ongoing development process in Ain El-Sira Park and its surrounding areas, as well as the development of the Maspero Triangle area.
The meeting also dealt with the status of establishing the "People of Egypt Walkway" project, which is expected to increase the percentage of green areas on both banks of the Nile Corniche.
Al-Jazzar also presented the efforts made by his ministry in the framework of projects related to the "Decent Life" initiative, especially in the sectors of sewage, water and treatment plants.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister presented the results of his recent visit to Dubai at the head of a delegation of several ministers and officials, which witnessed a series of meetings with Emirati officials, in addition to inspecting the Egyptian and UAE pavilions at the Expo 2020 Dubai. Madbouly also presented the development of the drainage system in the Nile delta and the treatment of agricultural drainage water.
