Al-Sisi discusses joint coronavirus efforts with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince
Published in Daily News Egypt on 29 - 03 - 2020

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi discussed with Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces, the joint efforts to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
In a tweet on his official account, the president said that he discussed important developments in the Arab region with the crown prince. Discussions also focused on ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
"The talks also touched on supporting and strengthening the eternal strategic relations between the two countries, may God protect both countries' peoples from all harm," Al-Sisi said.
Earlier, the Crown Prince tweeted that during the phone call, both leaders had also tackled the joint efforts to deal with the coronavirus' repercussions.
Bin Zayed added that they also discussed "the solid fraternal relations and ways to enhance them".
The UAE confirmed, on Saturday, 63 more new cases of coronavirus, including three Egyptian citizens. The latest figures take the total to 468 cases across the UAE, which prompted Bin Zayed to launch on Sunday a drive-through test centre for the coronavirus at Zayed Sports City on Saturday.
