Triple M Contracting Company aims to construct 10 solar power stations in Benban, Aswan as part of the feed-in tariff project.
Hatem El-Romy, chairperson of the company, said that it contracted with a Chinese company, Shandong Hengwang Group, to take part in the establishment of three power plants with a capacity of 150 MW in Benban, which will be launching within weeks.
He added that the company is also intensifying negotiations with companies to contract for the implementation of seven projects as part of its ambitious plan to participate in the establishment of the world's largest solar park in Aswan, and to maximise the value of local components and the localisation of solar technology.
He explained that Triple M contracted with Shandong Hengwang to be the company's agent in the Middle East and Africa for the sale of piles drilling machines used in the construction of solar power stations.
El-Romy noted that his company allied with a Jordanian company for the sale of drilling rigs for solar energy in Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Sudan, adding they also have a workshop for equipment maintenance and supply in Benban.
Suhad Al-Qassab, chairperson of the Jordanian company, said the price of the drilling machines is lower than the Japanese, Korean, and American counterparts, adding that the company eyes selling 50 machines per day and to expand in opening new outlets in Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
She explained that the contract with Triple M and Shandong Hengwang includes the supply of all equipment for drilling and mining.
