GB Auto has inaugurated a new centre, called Margham, on an area of 25,000 sqm with investments worth EGP 100m in Alexandria. Raouf Ghabbour, chairperson and executive director of GB Auto, said that the centre's buildings alone cost EGP 52,000, with a covered area of 3,000 sqm. He pointed out that nine new service centres will be inaugurated over the three upcoming years, adding that these centres and their land allocations have already been agreed upon, and will be undertaken soon. He added that the governorates where the centres will be established are Beni Suef, Minya, Damietta, Marsa Matrouh, Luxor, Aswan, and Mansoura. Ghabbour's most recent centre includes a showroom area of 900 sqm, in addition to a reception. "We continue to inject more investments to establish the largest service centres for Hyundai. Our centres are prevalent in a number of governorates, and work is ongoing to inaugurate more, so we can confidently say that we will have covered all of Egypt by 2020," Ghabbour said. Ghabbour stressed that the group always aims to provide the original spare parts of Hyundai, in addition to good technicians who can deal with GB Auto's cars. He emphasised that the Egyptian market is promising, and that Egypt is a successful bid for any investor. "Whoever decides to invest in Egypt, despite the difficult conditions of its economy, will gain a lot in the future," he said. The group aims to provide Hyundai customers with outstanding service centres every 50km, where they can easily find original spare parts, professionally-trained staff, and the latest technology in the world of maintenance, according to Ghabbour. The new centre's strategy is to expand and develop the company in accordance to the growth of sales and the rising demand on after-sale services, which only reflects the confidence of customers in GB Auto. The centre was prepared according to latest global standards. "For GB Auto, this is just the beginning. We will continue to inject more investments to establish the largest car service centres for Hyundai," Ghabbour said during the inauguration. "Our centres are located in Abu Rawash, Qaliub, Cairo-Ismailia desert road, Suez, Alexandria, Assiut, and Sharm El-Sheikh. Work is ongoing to inaugurate more centres," he added. Head of Hyundai in Africa and the Middle East, Mike Song, praised the large inauguration strengthening the presence of Hyundai in the Egyptian market. He also praised the performance of GB Auto and what it offers to customers before and after sale. Song noted that the Egyptian car market is one of the strongest markets in the Middle East and Africa, where Hyundai tops the sales of passenger cars with a market share of 29%, thanks to the continuous efforts of GB Auto to satisfy its customers. The integrated Margham centre includes a showroom on an area of 1,150 sqm, and the building covers 8,500 sqm. A variety of the latest Hyundai models are displayed in a distinctive entertaining way that allows visitors to see all models and colours. Professionally-trained staff in the sales department helps customers recognise the advantages of each car and choose the best fit for them. The centre includes a workshop to carry out maintenance and mechanical works, in addition to painting and repairing car bodies. The workshop is located on an area of 5,000 sqm, with a capacity of 120 cars per day. It is also equipped with the latest technology and equipment to ensure quality and quick repairing, supervised by a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the highest level of offered quality. The Margham centre also includes a storage area for spare parts on 684 sqm, in order to provide all necessary spare parts for Hyundai cars. The centre also includes a waiting area of 1,460 sqm, equipped to offer drinks, in addition to a prayer area, a smoking area, and WiFi service. Customers can follow-up on the repair of their cars during maintenance from behind a glass screen.
