The two Egyptian leading automobile corporations Ghabbour Auto (GB) and Aboul Fotouh Automative (AFA) is to re-launch Chinese auto maker, Chery International's Speranza cars under the new name of "Chery".
AFA's CEO Hassan Aboul Fotouh asserted Tuesday that the group targets producing around 30,000 Chery cars during a year of Chery International's work in the local market.
This amount is expected to be doubled within the upcoming period after the Egyptian Cabinet endorses the strategy of automotive industry, he said.
On other side, GB Chairman Raouf Ghabbour announced firm's plan to provide new services including sales, financing programmes, comprehensive maintenance centres as well as providing spare parts all over Egypt.
They made these remarks during the conference that GB held in the presence of He Xiaoqing -Deputy President of Chery and General Manager of Chery International-, and other officials at AFA.
Ghabbour stated that GB Auto is set to provide comprehensive network for 'Chery' clients in a strategic pattern all over Egyptian governorates. The network is set to encompass auto showrooms, maintenance centres, in addition to outlets for spare parts that are located all over Egypt.
He added that the priorities of GB Auto is to provide the highest level of maintenance and examination services as well as original spare parts.
Ghabbour clarified that the group is about to execute a plan to pump new investments in establishing new showrooms and after-sales services centres within the upcoming period.
"This relaunch is an important step for Chery International's strategy, as Egypt is a leading country in Africa and Chery started its export business in the Middle East and Africa. That is why we see Africa as a market with huge potential," Xiaoqing said told Xinhua.
He added that AFA has abundant local resources in order to assemble car parts and integrate Chery's products, while GB's solid marketing experience guarantees successful sales and customer service for Chery's products.
Chery has sold over 30,000 Speranza models in Egypt since 2004 and has become the most popular Chinese car in Egypt in cooperation with Aboul Fotouh Automative.
