Egyptian president Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi discussed Tuesday the latest developments in Africa with Pan-African Parliament Speaker Roger Nkodo Dang. Al-Sisi affirmed the importance of the Pan-African Parliament as a legal institution and praising the developments of its procedures and protocol over the past few years, according to a statement released by the presidency. The African perspective is importance for Egyptian foreign policy and Egypt is willing to participate in all activities of the Pan-African Parliament especially following the election of the Egyptian parliament, Al-Sisi said. Dang congratulated Al-Sisi on the election of the new Egyptian parliament. Al-Sisi met with Secretary-General of the United Nations' World Tourism Organisation Taleb Rifai that same day. The tourism sector is one of Egypt's main sources of national income, therefore the state is making a great effort to provide both Egyptian citizens and tourists with the highest standards of security. The state is willing to implement new technologies to improve security procedures, according to a statement released by the presidency. Rifai praised the security measures taken by Egypt to increase security standards in airports and touristic places and trusts that these measures will restore Egypt's tourism to its normal rates.
