Djokovic dominates competitions, Williams earns Zhuhai title

World number one tennis player Serbian Novak Djokovic continued dominating tennis competitions within ATP World Tour this year. He won the Paris professional Championship for the fourth time in his professional career by stealing the title from his British rival Andy Murray, world number two.
They competed in the final match in the tournament, which Djokovic won with 4-6, 2-6.
This competition is important since it is one of the professional competitions with 1,000 points and Djokovic raised his ranking to 15,285 points. Murray increased his points to 8,470, surpassing Swiss player Roger Federer, and becoming the world number two tennis player according to the international rankings.
Djokovic ‘s victory in the tournament was not his only achievement since he broke the record with 22 wins, which no other player has ever achieved.
Completing the tournament, Djokovic put himself into the game by winning the second round of the competition against Brazilian player Thomaz Bellucci with the score 2-6, 5-7, followed by winning against French player Gilles Simon in the third round with the score 5-7, 3,6.
In the quarter finals, he defeated Czech player Tomas Berdych with the score 6-7, 6,7 and surpassing Swiss player Stan Wawrinka in the semi-finals with the score 0-6,6-3,3-6.
The title of the doubles for men in the Paris tournament was achieved by Croatian player Ivan Dodig and his Brazilian partner Marcelo Melo after defeating Canadian player Vasek Pospisil and his partner US player Jack Sock in the finals with a score of 5-1, 3-6, 2-6.
Within the WTA World Tour, US player Venus Williams, ranking number seven worldwide, earned the Zhuhai title for women's tennis in China by defeating Czech player Karolina Pilskova with two clear rounds and a score of 6-7, 5-7.
This is the third title achieved by Williams, 35, during the competitions this year, putting her back on the top 10 list for the first time after a four-year absence.
This tournament is held with the groups system, with 12 participants in four groups. Williams played in the first group with Madison Keys and Chinese player Zheng Saisai. Williams came in first place in her group after, defeating Keys with a score of 1-6, 6-7, 6,3 and Saisai with a score of 1-6, 1-6, 6-4, to qualify for the semi-finals against Italian player Roberta Vinci, where Williams won with a score of 2-6, 2-6.
As for the doubles in the same tournament, the two Chinese players Liang Chen and Wang Yafan won the title after defeating the two Spanish players Anabel Medina Garrigues and Arantxa Parra Santonjoa with a score of 3-6, 4-6.
