LAGOS: Tigo Ghana has reportedly “poached' Airtel Ghana's Brand Communications Manager Linda Narh, Airtel accused their rival on Tuesday. However, Tigo said in response that the accusations were false after Narh had left Airtel in September. But she joined Tigo on October 4 in the same position – responsible for managing Tigo brands, events, activations, trade and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as well as public relations and media relations. Airtel has said that Tigo lured her away before she left their company in order to run their network. In essence, the two companies are exchanging a war of words currently over the hiring, but analysts say it is unlikely to change any current on the ground strategies or customer service for either company. In a press release announced Narh's appointment, Tigo Ghana said she would be in charge of the company's “entire corporate communications, media relations, public relations and adverting teams reporting to her, and she reports to the Head of Marketing, Tenu Awoonor. “She comes to Tigo with a rich experience in marketing, marketing communications, brand communications, events management, activations, project management, and public relations. Linda Narh is a Chartered Marketer by profession with over 10 years experience in marketing communication management," the statement said, not mentioning her previous position with Airtel Ghana.
