New Delhi: It's lawless India at its worst. Just a few days after a woman was raped inside a luxury special utility vehicle (SUV) in the fast growing town of Ghaziabad, just a stone's throw from New Delhi, another woman was drugged and gang-raped in the same area. Police said that the victim was allegedly raped by three men and in her semi conscious state, has confessed to the police that she knew those who raped her at Shalimar garden in Ghaziabad. “They offered me a cold drink which had been laced with an alcohol-type substance. Later, when I started losing consciousness they took turns to rape me,” the victim told the police, even as the cops launched a manhunt to arrest the accused. “She is repeatedly taking the name of one Titu. Once she is fit, she will be able to reveal the identities of those who assaulted her clearly,” senior police official Prashant Kumar said. Only last week, a 25-year-old girl was raped at basement parking area of the popular Vaishali mall, which is visiting by thousands of customers annually. The woman has claimed that she was raped inside an SUV. One person has already been arrested by the police in connection with the incident.
