CAIRO: According to Egypt's State Information Service, Egypt and Jordan concluded their air exercise codenamed, Ain Jalut-12. The exercise, which was conducted at Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan, was meant to promote military cooperation between Egypt and Jordan. During the exercise, which began on March 18, air fighters from the two countries carried out sorties to be trained on joint defense of vital targets, air interception of hostile aircraft as well as air attacks on ground targets. Lieutenant General Reda Hafez, Commander of the Egyptian Air Force said Friday, at the end of the air exercise, that the Egyptian Air Force is keen to implement joint exercises as part of efforts by the Armed Forces to reach the highest degree of combat effectiveness and readiness to implement all tasks. He noted that this exercise is one of the main pillars of military cooperation between Egypt and Jordan.
