A high-level Hamas delegation crossed Rafah terminal Saturday on their way to Cairo for talks with senior Egyptian
officials on inter-Palestinian reconciliation.
The five-strong team is headed by senior Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya.
The rival groups Fatah and Hamas signed on Sunday an Egyptian-brokered deal to activate inter-Palestinian reconciliation, under which the electoral commission will start its work on May 27 in Gaza and the two
factions will launch consultations to form a government of independent figures.
