Noor Islamic Bank Invites The World To Shape The Future Of Banking
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 02 - 10 - 2012

Noor Islamic Bank today issued an invitation to the world to help shape the future of banking, with the launch of its 'Bank of the Future' initiative, aimed at creating new innovative ways of banking.
As part of the 'Bank of The Future' initiative, Noor has created an online 'Shape Your Bank' competition that will solicit people's expectations of banks in the future, with prize money of US $ 20,000 for the best idea on how the banking experience can be improved. Ideas can be submitted, by logging on to the dedicated 'Shape Your Bank' website www.shapeyourbank.com or via Noor 's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/NoorIslamicBank . The closing date for entries is October 31.
To support the initiative, Noor will showcase its own futuristic vision of a 'Bank of The Future' at GITEX Technology Week 2012, which will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 14th to 18th. The high-tech, interactive, concept bank will provide a unique, immersive, 3D experience of how the future of banking could develop.
Noor will also launch its augmented reality 'Bank in Your Hand' app at GITEX. The app, which has been optimised for the new iPhone 5 and the latest version of the iPad, will give customers access toNoor 's complete range of products and services, from opening an account to executing banking transactions.
Hussain Al Qemzi, GCEO of Noor Investment Group and CEO, Noor Islamic Bank said: "The 'Bank of the Future' programme is a remarkable and unique initiative that will enable our customers, and future customers, to shape their banking experience with us. We want to know their expectations of us and what services and products matter most to them.
" Noor is known as a bank that is modern, forward looking and innovative, that is why we are presenting our own vision of 'The Bank of the Future'. We hope it will spark others to create innovative ways of banking which we can incorporate into our plans to develop products and services, in line with the needs of contemporary customers.
"This is the latest step in a journey that began even before we launched, when we held our first 'Shape Your Bank' campaign,' Al Qemzi added. "We listened then and we are still listening. The ideas we receive, through the latest 'Shape Your Bank' campaign, will guide the way we conduct our business in the future."
Since its launch in 2008 Noor has established itself as a market leader in innovative digital banking services and products. Earlier this year Noor was the first Islamic bank to provide a internet bank account opening service. In addition Noor 's website provides a suite of online banking services. And, its insurance arm, Noor Takaful, was the first Takaful operator to offer online insurance services and products.
"Our aim is to provide our customers with convenient, holistic, enterprise-wide, digital banking services, from opening a bank account on-line to applying for products and services and managing their account 24 hours day, without the need to visit a bank branch," AlQemzi said.
"We are committed to utilising the latest technology to enable us to offer personalised, products and services which meet our customers increasingly sophisticated needs. Online and mobile banking is rapidly becoming the preferred method of personal banking and Noor is determined to be at the cutting edge of this shift in demand."
