Sadat City Apparatus will start providing utilities for 1500 plots in the third phase of the Social Housing Project by the beginning of next October. Eng. Ashraf Abdel-Rahman stated that the apparatus has received NUCA's approval on launching this phase and that the contracting companies belonging to the fourth category will be responsible for providing utilities for the project. He added that this process will start by the beginning of this October at maximum and will be completed as per the fiscal year of 2012-2013. He also pointed out that the apparatus is currently waiting for the security bodies to remove encroachments on Sadat City plots, given that NUCA has rejected legalizing these plots for the encroachers on the basis that these plots represent an urban extension of Sadat City. Abdel-Rahman also refuted the encroacher's claim that they will cultivate the plots, highlighting that these plots will run out of underground water, and then be used for building purposes. This is considered a violation of the country's right, given that these buildings will be sold at high prices.
