NUCA to Provide Utilities for Bayt Al Watan Project by Early September

The New Urban Communities Authority, NUCA, will start establishing utilities at Bayt Al Watan Project by the beginning of the coming month. The project is located in 5 cities, including, Badr, New Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, New Minya, and New Damietta.
Eng. Adel Hussein, Head of the Department of Public Utilities at the Authority, stated that they have decided to begin the construction of utilities although it is not specified whether further phases of the project will be launched soon. He added that utilities will be built in particular areas of each city gradually.
He also explained that the planning and project management has defined the areas that will be provided with utilities according to certain priorities, including the proximity of the plots to water sources, stressing that the plots should be delivered next December.
On the other hand, Dr.Mohamed El-Baradei, Former Minister of Housing, has launched 6742 plots in the first phase of the project with spaces ranging from 400 to 800 meters in 5 cities, including New Damietta, Badr, New Minya, New Cairo, and Sheikh Zayed. The deadline for applying for the project has been extended 3 times up till now, although it was scheduled to close by mid-April.
