Trade exchange between Egypt and China climbed 22.8 percent to $8.346 billion during the first nine months of the year from $6.446 billion last year. In September, trade between the two countries rose 18.7 percent to $779.012 million against $633.392 million during the same month in 2017, the state-owned statistics agency CAPMAS said in a bulletin on Monday. "Egyptian exports to China increased 42.9 percent to $664.596 million during the January-September 2018 period, compared with $465.104 million during the same period last year," CAPMAS said. Egypt's import bill from China jumped 28.4 percent to $7.682 billion during the first nine months of this year, versus $5.98 billion last year. "Import bill grew 20.3 percent to $717.066 last September from $596.253 million in 2017," the agency added. China captured 13.2 percent of the Egyptian imports during the first nine months of the current year. Egypt's electronic equipment exports to China rose 45.5 percent to $2.115 billion, compared with $1.453 billion last year.
