Electronic visas will help attract more tourists to Egypt, President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi said during his speech at the events of Cairo ICT 2017 conference. Sisi launched the works of the first phase of Egypt's e-visa online portal which will become effective in passport, immigration and nationality offices. Using this system, tourists will apply and pay for their visa online via a barcode that they will receive. After approval from Egyptian authorities, tourists will receive a copy of the visa electronically. Earlier Sunday, Sisi inaugurated the events of the 21st edition of Cairo ICT 2017 Conference, which will run from December 3 to 6.
